Making life easier for advisers
Rob became Managing Director in 2010 after spending the previous 8 years as Operations Director, building the company into the UK’s largest Protection intermediary/services company. He has a wealth of experience in Financial Services and Broking including building and running leading quote, comparison and fulfilment systems as well as time in the Dot Com boom of the late 90s. His four children are a testament to his creativity and productivity as well as keeping him fully aware of the need to drive the industry forward and ensure Protection establishes itself as the bedrock of family financial planning.
Sales and Marketing Director
Neil joined Direct Life in September 2008, taking responsibility for Sales and Marketing having spent 25 years working with a number of specialist Protection insurers, including GRE, Swiss Life, AXA and Partnership Assurance. Moving from an insurer, his focus has been on developing the services within DLPS that can make life simpler for advisers. He holds the FCII and within the industry he sits on the ILAG Protection Group and the Income Protection Task Force. Neil is married, and with his two daughters recently married, is attempting to keep fit by swimming and planning his next cycling challenge!
Business Development Manager
Luke joined the LifeQuote team in 2007 and spent two years on the FastTrack scheme experiencing all of the operational aspects of the parent Company, Direct Life. Subsequently he joined the Sales and Marketing Team and has progressed rapidly to become Business Development Manager and a key member of the team. He has further developed his expertise in the Life business and is responsible for many of the Key Accounts within the business in addition to ensuring the smooth transition of new partners to becoming valued clients. Outside of work Luke is a keen sports enthusiast and will watch almost any sport except cricket (he doesn’t agree with taking a week off work to watch one game and potentially get no result). His real passion is Brighton and Hove Albion FC a club he watches regularly.
Customer Service Manager
Ryan joined Direct Life in 2007 and is responsible for the Express Underwriting, Fast Track, Administration and Sales Departments which make up Customer Services. He leads, and is proud of, an experienced management team whose mission it is to deliver exceptional day to day operational service to LifeQuote users. Ryan was previously Senior Manager of the Cheltenham & Gloucester Invest Direct Telephone and Postal Operation Centre. Outside work, Ryan is a keen golfer with a single figure handicap.
Jess has been instrumental in the growth and development of the business almost from inception. She arrived at Direct Life with many year's financial services experience gained at Santander and was brought in to develop the Express Underwriting department. Having helped hone it into an essential function within the business, she was rapidly promoted to manage the call centre, a role she has excelled at and enjoyed for the last 5 years. Outside of work Jess enjoys keeping fit, photography and spending time with her partner and family.
Sarah has developed a complete understanding of the business having joined and been core to its growth from the outset. Starting in an ‘admin’ role she has progressed to manage the administration department within Direct Life. Sarah ensures the delivery of a robust system of checks and balances to ensure the very highest quality from her 30 strong admin team as well as ensuring the delivery of high quality customer communications. She is married and has two young children who keep her on her toes and enjoys spending time with her family on a weekend.
